BIOEX delivers certified, environmentally responsible fire suppression solutions which are trusted worldwide.

BIOEX is the pioneer of fluorine free firefighting foam technology, showcasing its ECOPOL A3+ MILSPEC, BIO FOR N and ECOPOL F concentrates in the US market.

Why choose BIOEX?

Backed by LEADER GROUP, an international fire and rescue equipment manufacturer and now fully established in the US, BIOEX combines proven performance, rigorous certifications, and a genuine environmental commitment. From airports to military bases, oil and gas facilities to fire departments, BIOEX delivers foam concentrates trusted where reliability is non-negotiable.

A pioneer since 1998

BIOEX has formulated and manufactured firefighting foam concentrates since 1998. In 2002, BIOEX launched ECOPOL, the world’s first Class A/B fluorine free foam concentrate. It was years ahead of the industry.

BIOEX INC is based in Fresno, California, and has full-scale US production.

Several US airports, as well as a major federal defence logistics organisation, have chosen BIOEX solutions.

Research and development

An experienced team of chemists and engineers drives BIOEX’s research and development. They work daily to improve existing formulas and create new ones. The goal is simple: ever more effective foam, with an ever-lower impact on the environment. This is why BIOEX develops fluorine free products for every fire risk and why it can support its clients, step by step, through their own transition away from fluorine.

Trusted worldwide

BIOEX serves fire departments, oil and gas companies, chemical plants, airports, marine operators, military forces and waste treatment plants across five continents.

Its products carry a growing list of approvals, including UL 162 1, FM 5130, MIL-PRF-32725, USDA Forest Service, GreenScreen, ICAO, NFPA 18, EN 1568 and LASTFIRE. BIOEX is also an active member of ARFF Working GROUP, JOIFF and LASTFIRE.

BIOEX’s range of products includes high-performance foams including:

ECOPOL A3+ MILSPEC: ECOPOL A3+ MILSPEC is BIOEX’s fluorine free foam concentrate for aircraft rescue and firefighting. It is MIL-SPEC certified (MIL-PRF-32725) and designed for US military and civilian airports. Proven effectiveness on gasoline and jet A1 fuels at nominal half and double strength, ECOPOL A3+ MILSPEC is also GreenScreen and ICAO approved. This is the perfect product to make the fluorine free transition in a simple and effective way.

BIO FOR N: BIO FOR N is a fluorine free foaming additive for Class A and hydrocarbon fires. It is UL Listed and Greenscreen certified. Its high wetting and foaming capabilities make it the most suitable product for firefighters.

ECOPOL F: ECOPOL F is a Class A wildland fire concentrate and wetting agent. It is USDA Forest Service QPL listed and GreenScreen certified, and performs equally well in salt, fresh and brackish water. It guarantees maximum fire-extinguishing capacity and environmental protection.
