WAGNER Rail will showcase a range of new fire protection technologies for rolling stock at InnoTrans 2026, taking place in Berlin from September 22 to 25.

Exhibiting in Hall 2.2, Booth 250, the company will present innovations in fire detection, fire suppression, and power supply systems designed to meet the evolving demands of modern rail vehicles.

A key highlight of the exhibition will be the launch of the FirExting® Water Mist Compact, a new water mist fire suppression system developed for passenger areas, sleeping compartments, train kitchens, and restrooms.

Combining water and nitrogen within a single container, the compact solution simplifies installation while delivering effective fire suppression.

Compact design improves efficiency

The FirExting® Water Mist Compact has been engineered to reduce installation space and maintenance requirements.

Its low water consumption helps minimise consequential damage following activation, while the integrated design enables fast servicing and straightforward replacement after deployment.

New battery module expands installation options

WAGNER Rail will also introduce a new battery module featuring a compact footprint and high power density. Designed specifically for rolling stock applications, the module offers greater flexibility when integrating fire protection systems into increasingly space constrained vehicle designs.

Early fire detection with TITANUS®

Alongside its latest product launches, WAGNER will demonstrate its established TITANUS® aspirating smoke detection technology. The system provides very early fire detection while maintaining a high level of immunity to nuisance alarms, making it well suited to passenger compartments, technical equipment rooms, and underfloor installations.

Visitors can also attend a technical presentation by Dr Markus Müller, Managing Director of WAGNER Rail GmbH, on September 23 at the EventStage in Hall 2.2, where he will discuss the latest developments in fire protection technologies for rolling stock.

Dr. Müller said: “Today more than ever, there is a need for solutions that reliably protect vehicles and passengers while making optimal use of the limited space available in modern rolling stock.

“With our latest developments, we are demonstrating at InnoTrans how safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness can be successfully combined.”
