WAGNER Group has launched the new TITANUS REX® aspirating smoke detector, introducing the latest generation of its established TITANUS® fire detection portfolio.
The new system was unveiled to the international market at the NFPA Conference & Expo in Las Vegas and will also be showcased to European fire safety professionals at FeuerTrutz in Nuremberg.
Advanced Fire Detection Technology
The VdS-certified TITANUS REX® has been developed from decades of experience in aspirating smoke detection and incorporates a complete redesign of key functions.
The new detector combines high sensitivity, modularity and end-to-end digitalisation, while delivering energy-efficient operation and enhanced immunity to nuisance alarms.
Additional certifications, including UL and AFNOR approvals, are expected shortly.
Torsten Wagner, Managing Director and Partner of WAGNER Group GmbH, said: “With TITANUS REX®, we are redefining the future of aspirating smoke detection technology, placing a clear focus on concrete user benefits: very fast response time and high-level operational reliability.
“Our new detector module detects even very small smoke particles much earlier and with greater precision.
“This gives users valuable time to take targeted action in the event of a fire and reliably safeguards their processes with TITANUS REX®.”
New W1 Technology and Intelligent Fire Recognition
At the core of TITANUS REX® is WAGNER’s new W1 technology, which combines highly sensitive smoke particle detection with intelligent signal processing.
The system also incorporates the advanced LOGIC·SENS® PLUS fire pattern recognition technology, which evaluates detection data against surrounding environmental conditions.
This enables very early fire detection while maintaining a high level of immunity to nuisance alarms.
Energy-Efficient Operation
Energy efficiency has been a major focus of the development programme. Specialised sensor technology and modern low-power components reduce energy consumption and allow power supplies to be sized according to operational requirements.
For operators, this delivers stable and reliable fire detection while supporting sustainability goals through resource-efficient operation.
Simplified Planning and Maintenance
WAGNER has also enhanced the planning, commissioning and maintenance process through integrated software tools, including TITANUS PipeXpress® PLUS and TITANUS® ServiceXpress.
Wizard-guided workflows help ensure projects are planned in accordance with relevant standards, simplifying installation and long-term maintenance.
Modular Solutions for Diverse Applications
The TITANUS REX® range is available in three variants: TITANUS REX® 30, TITANUS REX® 50 and TITANUS REX® 70.
The modular design enables deployment across a wide variety of environments, from deep-freeze facilities operating at temperatures as low as -32°C and highly sensitive applications, through to elevator shafts, commercial buildings and large-scale hyperscale data centres.
Its compact footprint and quiet operation allow the detector to be integrated discreetly into a broad range of installations.
Supporting Business Continuity
WAGNER says the combination of highly sensitive detection, intelligent fire recognition and exceptional immunity to nuisance alarms helps support business continuity by reducing false activations while ensuring rapid response to genuine fire events.
