Head protection specialists Team Wendy has appointed Vasilios Brachos as President, with immediate effect.
Brachos will also join the Avon Technologies plc Group Executive Committee as the company looks to strengthen its focus on innovation, operational excellence and growth across military, commercial and international markets.
Extensive industry experience
Brachos brings almost 25 years of experience in the development of advanced head protection systems and has worked extensively on technologies designed for military and other demanding operational environments.
During his career, he has held senior technology and product development roles, contributing to advancements in ballistic helmets, helmet pads, retention systems and soldier system integration.
Supporting future growth
Team Wendy is recognised for its helmet systems, impact protection technologies and traumatic brain injury mitigation solutions, supplying head protection for military, law enforcement, search and rescue and adventure sports applications.
The company said Brachos’ experience in materials science, engineering and user centred design aligns with its long-standing focus on technical innovation and customer requirements.
As President, he will lead the next phase of Team Wendy’s strategy, which includes strengthening its position in core military markets while accelerating growth across commercial and international sectors through new product development, operational excellence and customer service.
