Hytrans is sending a truck equipped with a mobile water transport system to France to support emergency services battling ongoing wildfires.
The scale and intensity of the fires have placed significant pressure on French response teams, prompting the deployment of additional operational capacity.
Mobile water transport boosts firefighting capability
The vehicle is carrying two HydroSub 150 units together with a HoseLayerContainer containing 4,000 metres of hose, couplings, and spare parts.
Once deployed, the equipment will provide additional capacity to transport large volumes of water over long distances directly to the fire ground, supporting firefighters working on the front line.
Supporting existing French emergency services
The French Civil Defense and a number of French fire departments already operate Hytrans mobile water transport systems. The additional equipment has been supplied to complement these existing resources and can be deployed immediately wherever it is required.
Global specialist in emergency water transport
Based in Lemmer, Hytrans develops and manufactures mobile water transport systems for fire departments, emergency services, and industrial users worldwide.
Its systems are used to support wildfire suppression, industrial incident response, flood operations, and other large scale emergencies where the rapid movement of substantial volumes of water is essential.
Martin Maasland, CEO of Hytrans, said: “We are proud that Hytrans can contribute to the fight against wildfires in France. Our appreciation goes to all the firefighters and first responders who are working in difficult conditions to protect people, nature, and property.”
