Darley has appointed Jack “J.” Taylor III to its Fire Advisory Board, bringing more than three decades of fire service leadership experience to the group.
Taylor is a retired Fire Chief with 33 years of service and has held executive leadership positions with the Pearland, Trophy Club and Irving Fire Departments.
Firefighter health and safety
Throughout his fire service career, Taylor has been involved in initiatives focused on operational performance, organisational health and firefighter wellbeing.
His work has included advancing firefighter health and safety programmes addressing cancer prevention, mental health, resilience and peer support.
Taylor most recently served with the Pearland Fire Department, where he held the position of Fire Chief before retiring from the fire service.
Emergency services experience
Following his retirement from Pearland Fire Department, Taylor joined Siddons Martin Emergency Group as Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives.
His experience includes emergency services leadership, organisational development and supporting teams operating within demanding fire and rescue environments.
Darley said Taylor’s background in fire service leadership and his focus on developing effective teams will provide additional industry insight to its Fire Advisory Board.
The board brings together fire service professionals to provide Darley with operational perspectives and industry experience.

“After 33 years in the fire service, I hope to bring the perspective of a fire chief and organizational leader, while also drawing on my current corporate experience working alongside departments and industry partners.
