The success of the Sides ‘Sherpa’ ARFF vehicle range continues with the delivery of this stunning VIM61P2.5 model to Aeroport De-Nevers in central France.This example uses the functional M.A.N TGS 33.540 6×6 chassis featuring a 540 hp Euro 5 diesel engine, automatic transmission and seating for a driver and 2 crew with optional SCBA mountings.
This Sherpa carries 6,200 litres of water, 620 litres of foam and 250 kg DCP from Perren Engineering Limited. Fire-engineering includes a Sides SB10-6000 centrifugal pump, a remote and telescopic Sides SM45 roof mounted monitor delivering 4,500 lpm, a 950 lpm bumper turret plus an under body fire protection and 2 side-lines.
The on-board fire-protection systems are controlled by the Sides SCONTROL management system. The Sides Sherpa range is available in 4×4 and 6×6 configurations on a range of suitable international chassis customised to customers exact requirements.
