Kidde Commercial has expanded its EXCELLENCE Series fire detection portfolio with the introduction of new Input/Output Control Units and additional Notification Device options, providing greater flexibility and functionality for customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The latest additions are designed to support evolving fire detection requirements across the region, where regulations, installation practices, market expectations and customer needs continue to develop.
Flexible control unit options
The expanded EXCELLENCE Series Input/Output range includes new isolated and non-isolated device variants, giving system designers and installers greater flexibility while maintaining full compatibility across the EXCELLENCE platform.
According to Kidde Commercial, the non-isolated versions offer a simpler and more cost-effective solution for applications where short circuit isolation is not required.
The range has also been extended with a new High-Speed Priority Input Unit, available in both isolated and non-isolated versions, enabling faster response times for applications where emergency inputs require prioritisation.
In addition, the existing Single Output Unit now supports Fail-to-Safe functionality for emergency exit applications, helping customers meet the requirements of EN14637 and BS7273.
Expanded notification device range
Kidde Commercial has also introduced new White Flash visual alarm notification devices to the EXCELLENCE Series.
The new devices provide additional flexibility for projects where white visual alarm notification is preferred, complementing the existing range of audible, visual and combined notification devices.
The expanded portfolio is intended to offer consultants, specifiers, installers and end users greater choice while maintaining performance, compliance and aesthetic requirements.
Supporting evolving market needs
Kidde Commercial said the EXCELLENCE Series has been developed as an evolving platform that combines global innovation with the flexibility needed to address local market requirements across EMEA.
The company added that the latest additions reinforce its ongoing commitment to developing fire detection solutions that adapt to changing regulations, emerging technologies and increasingly demanding applications, while helping customers prepare for future fire safety challenges.
