Ziamatic’s EZ-LOC Mechanical Bracket with Fixed Top Clamp is designed to secure SCBA cylinders within fire and emergency vehicles. The system uses a mechanical locking arrangement intended to simplify the storage and release of breathing apparatus while accommodating different cylinder configurations.
The bracket is available as models QM-EZL F and QM-EZL F-LR. It is designed to fit most SCBA models and can be retrofitted to work with most existing seats and centre pull release arrangements.
Ratcheting system secures SCBA cylinders
The EZ-LOC uses a patented ratcheting design that keeps the top clamp locked even when it is only partially closed. The operator presses down on the top clamp to secure the cylinder, removing the need for straps or levers.
A smooth PVC coated top clamp is designed to avoid pinching or damaging air hoses and HUD module wiring.
The system is NFPA compliant and has been third party tested to exceed the 11G standard.
Adjustable footplate supports different cylinders
An adjustable footplate allows the bracket to accommodate variations between individual cylinders. An adjustment knob enables changes to the footplate height, while the Footplate Guide assists with positioning the air pack when it is returned to the bracket.
For 30 minute, 5500 PSI cylinders, Ziamatic offers the model 1045 320 912 Locator Bumper Spacer Kit. Flat top cylinders can be accommodated using the model 1045 320 112 Modified Locator Bumper.
Two EZ-LOC configurations available
The QM-EZL-F combines an adjustable footplate with a Universal Pull Release.
The QM-EZL F-LR also incorporates the fixed top clamp and adjustable footplate, but is supplied without the Universal Pull Release. A QM-EZL-OR Universal Pull Release Kit is available separately.
Together, these configurations allow departments to select an arrangement according to their existing seating, cylinder and release requirements.
