The Magirus Team Cab is a crew compartment developed around the requirements of firefighters, with an emphasis on passenger protection, ergonomics, equipment storage and access during emergency response.
The cab complies with ECE R29 03 requirements for passenger protection. Three point or four point safety belts are available, incorporating belt holders and quick release buttons to support restraint and operational readiness.
Configurable lighting and equipment storage
LED lighting throughout the crew compartment can be individually adjusted for brightness and colour, with white, green and red settings available. This allows crews to adapt interior illumination according to operational requirements.
Equipment storage is provided beneath the seating area through an illuminated compartment offering up to 456 litres of capacity. The space can be subdivided according to equipment requirements. Additional storage for personal items incorporates USB ports and LED lighting.
Ten inch displays can be positioned facing either the direction of travel or the opposite direction. Connected to front and rear view cameras, these displays provide crews with an external view before leaving the cab.
Modular cab design supports different configurations
The Team Cab uses a modular lightweight frame concept, allowing different cab dimensions alongside varying seating and storage configurations.
Pneumatically operated boarding steps extend when the door is opened. Doors open to an angle of 90 degrees to provide access to the crew compartment. Oval profile handholds are also incorporated to provide a secure grip during entry and exit.
Compatibility across firefighting vehicle chassis
Seats developed specifically for firefighting applications incorporate integrated PA and collapsible belt holders.
The Team Cab can be installed on light, medium and heavyweight chassis from OEM manufacturers covering Euro III to Euro VI configurations. It can be connected directly to the OEM driver cab and is available as either an integral or separate module cab.
This flexibility enables the crew compartment, seating arrangement and storage capacity to be configured according to individual fire service vehicle requirements.
