MSA Safety has unveiled its new GALLET F1 Fire Helmet at the Singapore International Disaster & Emergency Management Expo (SIDEX) 2026, introducing an updated version of its established firefighter helmet platform.
Building on more than 40 years of GALLET F1 development, the new helmet incorporates changes to protection, comfort, fit and equipment integration to meet the operational requirements of modern firefighting.
Updated protection and fit
The GALLET F1 is designed to protect firefighters against heat, impacts and falling debris during emergency response operations.
The helmet offers an expanded range of sizing options to accommodate different head shapes, sizes and hairstyles.
Its modular design allows fire and rescue services to configure the helmet with accessories according to their operational requirements.
Integrated lighting technology
One of the principal developments is the L360 lighting module, designed specifically for the new GALLET F1.
The integrated system provides balanced illumination to assist firefighters working in environments where visibility may be restricted.
The lighting arrangement is intended to support navigation and operational tasks while allowing firefighters to keep their hands available for equipment handling and emergency response activities.
Enhanced visor and maintenance features
The helmet incorporates a redesigned visor intended to provide full face protection against hazards encountered during firefighting operations.
MSA Safety has also introduced changes intended to simplify cleaning, inspection and maintenance.
These features are designed to help fire and rescue services maintain their protective equipment and prepare helmets for subsequent deployments.
Availability announced at SIDEX 2026
Vitor Kiem, President of APAC at MSA Safety, said: “For more than four decades, the GALLET F1 has been trusted by firefighters around the world. The new GALLET F1 builds on that heritage while introducing new features designed around the realities of modern firefighting.
“We have focused on combining protection and performance with the comfort, flexibility and ease of maintenance that firefighters and fire brigades need.”
The company is presenting the helmet to visitors at SIDEX 2026, where representatives are available to discuss its features and configuration options.
