Ranger Fire and Security has strengthened its presence across the UK and Ireland with the acquisition of two high-performing businesses, further advancing its ambition to become a one-stop provider for all fire and security service needs.
The latest acquisitions bring Scion Communications Limited and Emerald Fire Technology into the Ranger Group, increasing the total number of businesses within the Group to 23.
Scion strengthens presence in southern England
Scion Communications Limited is a fire safety and security solutions provider serving the south of England.
Its core offering includes fire alarms, security systems and access control, supporting a diverse commercial customer base, including the education sector.
The acquisition further strengthens Ranger’s presence in southern England, building on its previous acquisitions of Universal, Fidelity and Partnership.
Emerald expands fire and gas detection expertise
Emerald Fire Technology is a Cork-based specialist in fire and gas detection, providing the supply, commissioning, servicing and repair of equipment for commercial and government-funded customers throughout the Munster region.
Located close to Ranger business B-Safe, the acquisition expands the Group’s regional coverage while adding gas detection capabilities to its product portfolio.
Leadership teams remain in place
Both companies’ existing leadership teams will remain in place to drive future growth within their respective businesses and across the wider Ranger Group.
The arrangement is intended to preserve each company’s customer-focused approach while creating cross-selling opportunities with neighbouring Ranger businesses.
Supporting Ranger’s national growth strategy
The acquisitions are the first to be announced since Inflexion, a leading European mid-market investment firm, completed a majority investment in Ranger to accelerate its growth and acquisition strategy across the UK and Ireland.
The investment will support further acquisitions of high-performing local businesses while enabling greater integration of back-office functions throughout the Group, helping Ranger build a truly national fire and security services platform.
