FirePro UK Ltd has won the Outstanding Product/Innovation category at the Fire Resilience Excellence Awards 2026 for its LPCB certificated Condensed Aerosol Fire Suppression technology.
The judges recognised the company’s NHS case study, which demonstrated how FirePro’s technology protected critical hospital equipment following a previous fire that had destroyed a sterilisation machine and brought patient care services to an abrupt halt.
NHS installation prevents major loss
Following the original fire, FirePro’s LPCB certified condensed aerosol fire suppression system was installed across all three hospital sterilisation machines.
The solution combined internal linear heat detection, automatic power isolation and integrated fire suppression for what the company described as a nominal outlay.
Seven months later, a similar fault occurred within one of the sterilisation machines. This time, the system operated as designed, automatically isolating the power supply, containing airflow, closing dampers and doors, activating alarms and releasing the FirePro suppression agent inside the machine.
When fire crews arrived, there was no active fire, no smoke damage and only minimal disruption to hospital operations.
NHS England officially confirmed that the installation saved the Trust an estimated £250,000.
Fourth industry award in six years
The award was presented during a gala ceremony held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 29 April 2026.
It represents FirePro UK’s fourth fire industry award in six years.
