Dyne Fire Protection Labs, an NFPA Global Solutions Company, has expanded its laboratory testing services to include corrosion and microbiologically influenced corrosion, MIC, diesel fuel and water mist nozzle testing.
The new services will provide results in five business days or less.
Supporting NFPA 25 compliance

The new services align with requirements within NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems.
Corrosion and diesel fuel testing
Corrosion and MIC testing supports NFPA 25 provisions relating to internal piping assessment. When tubercles or slime are identified during inspections, samples must be tested for indications of MIC.
Dyne said the service also supports NFPA 13 requirements for evaluating water supplies and environmental conditions that may contribute to corrosion or microbial activity.
Diesel Fuel testing aligns with NFPA 25 requirements for assessing fuel quality in diesel driven fire pumps.
The analysis identifies fuel degradation that could affect system reliability and supports data driven maintenance decisions.
The service also supports NFPA 110 requirements for evaluating fuel quality in emergency generators.
Water mist nozzle testing
Dyne’s Water Mist Nozzle testing supports functional testing requirements within NFPA 25 for automatic water mist systems, where precise nozzle performance is critical.
