MSA Safety Incorporated has completed its acquisition of Autronica Fire and Security in a transaction valued at approximately $555 million.

The acquisition strengthens MSA Safety’s position in the global fire detection and industrial safety market and supports the company’s mission and Accelerate profitable growth strategy.

Autronica joins MSA Safety

Headquartered in Trondheim, Norway, Autronica is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of fire detection, gas detection and alarm systems.

The company serves customers across the maritime, oil and gas, infrastructure and industrial sectors and reported approximately $160 million in sales during 2025.

Autronica’s mission is to protect life, property and the environment through advanced fire and gas detection technologies supported by dependable customer service.

Financial outlook

MSA Safety expects the acquisition to be accretive to its adjusted earnings per share during the first full year of ownership.

The transaction was financed through a combination of cash on hand and borrowings under MSA Safety’s existing credit facility.

Expanding global safety capabilities

MSA Safety, a global leader in the development of advanced industrial safety technologies and solutions that protect people and critical infrastructure, said the acquisition further expands its capabilities in fire and gas detection while strengthening its long-term growth strategy.

Autronica will now become part of MSA Safety’s global portfolio of industrial and fire safety solutions.
