Fire safety specialist signs major distribution deal

A British manufacturer of audio products for the fire and disability markets has entered into a strategic partnership with one of the world’s largest engineering companies.

Vox Ignis has agreed a deal with Bosch Building Technologies which will see the engineering giant receive exclusivity over the distribution of its Lexicomm range of products in India, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Since its inception in 2014, the Sunderland-headquartered business has forged a global reputation for its products, with its systems fitted in developments the world-over, from high-rise residential buildings to airports, hospitals, hotels and cinemas.

And through the deal with Bosch, the company is looking to continue building on that global success, by establishing a foothold in new regions across South East Asia and increasing capacity at its Sunderland manufacturing facility.

Anthony Smith, Managing Director of Vox Ignis, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Bosch as our exclusive distributor for the Asia Pacific Region for our Lexicomm fire telephone and disabled refuge systems.

“We look forward to working with Kah Seong Ong and his teams in the region and expect the relationship to continue blossoming as we look to the future.”

The increasing demand for Vox Ignis’ products saw the firm report its best ever results in 2022/2023, and with turnover expected to rise by a further 20% this financial year, the company is confident that the best is yet to come.

“Despite the economic headwinds and many challenges facing the industry, we’ve continued to go from strength to strength over recent years and I have no doubt that the deal with Bosch and the launch of numerous new products over the coming months will see us continue in that direction,” Anthony added.

Bosch Building Technologies is the division of the Bosch Group which will be responsible for distributing Vox Ignis’ Lexicomm products in the Asia-Pacific market. Boasting thousands of customers worldwide, the company’s regional headquarters is located in Singapore.

Kah Seong Ong, Head of Sales & Marketing BU FIRE Asia Pacific at Bosch Building Technologies, said: “We are pleased to work with Vox Ignis whom shared similar values in serving the life safety industry and are confident that their Lexicomm product range will complement our fire alarm systems in our solution offering to our channel partners and end user customers in Asia Pacific region.”
