WAGNER at Security Essen 2014

Two major new product launches

security, the world’s leading trade fair in the industry, will be held in Essen from 23rd to 26th September for the 40th time. Around 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries will be exhibiting their products and services from all areas of the security sector on over 85,000 m2. True to the slogan “Fire sparks our passion”, Wagner Group GmbH from Langenhagen, Germany, has been developing technical fire prevention systems since 1976, and has been active on the market with these for almost as long. In almost four decades the company has developed into a global technology leader in the field of fire detection and fire prevention and covers the complete service portfolio for its customers from planning and design to system construction and servicing.
“Solving problems is our job” said founder and managing director Werner Wagner about his company.
WAGNER offers comprehensive fire protection solutions from a single source – and not just in Germany. The company is also represented in Europe, Russia, China and Singapore and – thanks to specific customer
requirements – will soon also be in the USA and Canada.
WAGNER’s TITANUS® air sampling smoke detectors for very early smoke detection have long since proven their worth and established a name for themselves. The technology detects even the minutest quantities of smoke particles and is thus up to 2,000 times more sensitive than conventional point-type detectors. In this way, the system offers a valuable time advantage when it comes to initiating effective measures for locating and extinguishing fires. The latest product in the TITANUS® range is the TITANUS MULTI·SENS®, which
WAGNER will be presenting at security in Essen and which is now ready for serial production.
MULTI·SENS®’s special feature: It can detect and analyse burning patterns to determine what substance is burning. For example, the system can distinguish between a burning cigarette and burning plastic, and can evaluate whether a notification alarm or a fire alarm should be triggered. “Our newly developed MULTI·SENS® technology is based on our solution approach ‘We tell you what’s burning and what isn’t’”, said Torsten Wagner, managing director of WAGNER Group GmbH, who is also responsible for research and development. “At the same time, the knowledge gained into what is burning makes it possible to define new protection concepts in order to initiate the appropriate and effective countermeasures directly. As such, staff
can simply be notified of cigarette smoke, instead of the fire brigade being called in.”
As a second highlight, WAGNER will be showcasing its OxyReduct® fire prevention system live. The system uses nitrogen to reduce the oxygen content in the rooms to be protected, so that it is no longer possible for a fire to develop and spread. WAGNER has now optimised the PSA and VPSA technology for nitrogen generation in a new concept for even better energy management.
You can find this and further fire prevention innovations from WAGNER at security on Booth 408 in Hall 3.0.
