Vimpex has launched a new range of control panels for its popular Hydrosense Water Leakage Detection System.

Hydrosense is designed to protect areas where water leakage could seriously damage electrical, communication and computer networks by quickly detecting the leak and raising an alarm. The system continuously monitors vulnerable areas and can be interfaced to other fire, security and safety systems to provide total protection. Hydrosense can be easily installed by specialist contractors working in the electrical, fire and security industries and is suited to a wide range of applications including HVAC, sprinkler systems and water-cooled plant.

The new Hydrosense panels offer advanced features with easier installation and programming. The attractive and unobtrusive panels are available in 2 to 48 zone versions with a variety of enclosures and mounting options. Custom built panels are also available. The control panels are supported by repeaters, ancillary PCB’s and mimics. The new Matrix mimic panel can be connected to any number of Hydrosense control panels and provides a clear, geographical indication of alarm activation enabling speedy identification of the source of an alarm. All alarm circuits are fully monitored and remote “Water Alarm” lamp units are available to help quickly isolate the source of the alarm.

Hydrosense offers the flexibility of two methods of water detection – probes and Hydrowire. Probes are either floor mounted with an adjustable height setting or fitted to an AC drip tray. The flexible Hydrowire detection cable is available in 5m and 10m lengths and can monitor large areas. A small amount of water coming into contact with Hydrowire is absorbed by capillary action and triggers an alarm. A system incorporating probes and Hydrowire can meet even the most demanding applications.
