Unruh Fire, Inc. has recently acquired the Renegade Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Vehicle line and related property from Crash Rescue Equipment Service, Inc. More than 100 Renegade ARFF vehicles have been sold in the last 10 years.
“We are thrilled to enter the ARFF market after many years of working with municipal and military fire departments. We were attracted to the quality and reputation of the Crash Rescue Renegade Trucks.
Unruh Fire already specializes in high quality custom firefighting vehicles and will add the Renegade ARFF trucks to its product line. Furthermore, we are excited about offering firefighters with greater firefighting capability using the Tri-Max technology,” said Alex McDonald, President of Unruh Fire.
The Renegade vehicles are typically built on Ford F-550 chassis with aluminum or poly bodies and are available in many different configurations. One configuration consists of a Tri-Max High Energy Cold Compressed Air Foam Twin Agent system, generating four (4) times the foam of conventional systems.
This system ranges from 100-500 gallons and is combined with dry chemical and utilizes the Hydro-Chem technology. A second configuration is a pump-driven system containing 100-750 gallons of water and 500
lbs. of dry chemical also using the Hydro-Chem technology. Larger Renegade trucks, from 500 to 750 gallons, for example, are available on a larger chassis, such as the International DuraStar.
Unruh Fire manufactures custom brush trucks, rescue trucks, ATV firefighting systems and custom trailers ranging from Command to Rescue Trailers. In 2009, Unruh Fire purchased the Marco Firefighting Product Line which consists of High Pressure Skid Units.
