Who’s Who Bioex

BIOEXBIOEX’s range of firefighting foams are used by fire safety professionals worldwide. A pioneer in fluorine-free foams, BIOEX remains top of the market for innovation

Since 1998, BIOEX formulates and manufactures firefighting foams for fire brigades/departments, airports, oil & gas plants, chemical industries, power plants, marine and waste treatment plants.

BIOEX offers a wide range of high performance FFF, AFFF and AR-AFFF foams that are efficient against class A solids fires and class B hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires. BIOEX provides green fire suppressant alternatives to preserve the environment.

BIOEX offers a wide range of BIOEX foams effective in low, medium, and high expansion with all types of foam equipment.

BIOEX products are certified under international standards such as EN1568, LASTFIRE, UL, GESIP, IMO, ICAO… For decades, fire professionals have been confident using BIOEX products for their fire safety.

A pioneer in fluorine-free foams

Our R&D team, composed of PhD and scientists, is proactive in the development of new foam formulations that meet fire safety professional needs.

In 2002, BIOEX launched the 1st fluorine-free foam (FFF) in the market: ECOPOL. ECOPOL foam concentrate is a non-fluorinated alternative with high extinguishing performance while respecting the environment. ECOPOL is a multipurpose foam (Alcohol-Resistant), efficient on class A and class B hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires. ECOPOL achieved GreenScreen certification, the first ecolabel which analyzes and attests PFAS-free foams using safer chemicals.

Committed to bring green solutions for the environment and for the people, BIOEX intensively developed its range of 100% fluorine-free foams. High quality fluorine-free foams are available, covering wildland to industrial fire risks, aircrafts, as well as large petrochemical fires.

Customer service

In case of emergency and urgent need of firefighting foam, BIOEX-24 emergency service is available 24/7 for express delivery.

To control foam concentrate quality and their physical-chemical properties, BIOEX provides foam sample analysis according to standard protocol such as EN1568, ICAO, UL, IMO…

The company can perform small-scale and large-scale burn tests to ensure foam performances on specific fuel.

BIOEX also supports companies in their transition from AFFF to Fluorine-Free Foam.

A global supplier

BIOEX is part of LEADER Group – a leading global fire and rescue equipment manufacturer with subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, China and the USA. Located near Lyon in France, BIOEX organisation is represented in more than 100 countries around the world.

In 2020, BIOEX moved into brand-new facilities with extended laboratory, production, storage and logistics capacities. AFFF and FFF foams are manufactured in two separate production processes, to guarantee FFF foams free of all fluorinated derivatives.

BIOEX delivers worldwide in a short amount of time to answer the needs of firefighters and safety professionals.

Major industries, airports and fire brigades trust in BIOEX products:  DUPONT, OILTANKING, PARIS AIRPORTS, DOW Chemical…
