Tyco Fire Protection Products has announced a new listing for its ESFR-25 sprinkler

Tyco Fire Protection Products has announced a new listing for its ESFR-25 (Early Suppression Fast Response) pendant sprinkler, which can now cover five-foot aisle widths in storage applications – an industry first. The newly listed ESFR-25 provides unrivalled installation flexibility, as no other sprinkler provides comparable performance with the same narrow aisle width and ceiling height coverage.
With this latest enhancement, the ESFR-25 can protect spaces in both aisles and racks with ceiling-only protection, offering greater versatility and eliminating the need to use in-rack sprinklers when protecting high-piled storage.
The ESFR-25 is UL and C-UL listed for ceilings of up to 48 feet (14.6 m), storage heights of up to 43 feet (13.1 m) and a minimum aisle width of 5 feet (1.5 m) and is FM Global approved for installation, according to the FM Global Loss Prevention Data Sheets. It is suitable for protecting cardboard, expanded and unexpanded plastics and packing materials and is available with ordinary and intermediate temperature ratings of 165°F (74°C) and 212°F (100°C) respectively.
Gaurav Malik, Global Product Manager at Tyco Fire Protection Products, comments: “Through this latest enhancement, we have responded to our customers’ needs by offering them a solution that optimises storage capacity, with no compromise on fire safety and protection. The ESFR-25 has undergone extensive testing to ensure that it complies with the highest installation standards, and responds effectively to the application challenges of today’s storage and distribution facilities. The ESFR-25’s new listing provides maximum adaptability and storage flexibility to protect a wide range of commodities.”
