Plumis has strengthened its commitment to fire safety education with the appointment of Bernie Higgins as its new CPD Presenter. With over three decades of experience in fire safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance, Bernie will play a key role in delivering CPD training and supporting building control professionals.
Having served for 32 years in the London Fire Brigade, where he rose to the rank of Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Bernie has extensive experience in fire risk assessment and enforcement. He is a board member of the Fire Industry Association (FIA) and holds professional memberships with the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
In his new role, Bernie will lead Plumis’ monthly CPD sessions and provide tailored training for organisations looking to enhance their understanding of fire safety regulations. His expertise will help professionals navigate complex compliance processes and support the wider adoption of innovative fire suppression technologies.
