FFE showcase latest flame detection products this September IFSEC South East Asia
FFE is bringing the latest in wide-area smoke and flame detection to IFSEC South East Asia by showing its extensive range of Fireray optical beam smoke detectors and Talentum flame detectors.
Held between 7-9 September at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, it is the region’s leading security, fire and safety exhibition and conference. FFE will be located in the UK Pavilion at Booth UK08, which the company will be sharing with fellow Halma company Klaxon Signals.
With over half a million units installed worldwide, Fireray is the first choice for installers and engineers looking for optical beam smoke detection over wide areas. With its modern design aesthetic and minimal footprint, the Fireray is popular with architects for a wide range of applications, including airports and aircraft hangers, conference and shopping centres, sports and leisure facilities, warehouses, historic buildings and places of worship.
In addition to Fireray beam detectors, visitors will also get to see Talentum flame detectors, which are used in sensitive or dangerous environments to detect fires even before there is any smoke produced, or where smokeless fires may occur. By watching for and recognising the non-visible ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) signatures of the flames themselves, the Talentum range does not need smoke to know if there is a fire. They can detect flames through steam and smoke and, with an Air Purge Kit, dust as well. They are also immune to the effects of wind.
“FFE has always been driven by innovation, from the introduction of the first Fireray optical beam smoke detector over thirty years ago to the integration of the Talentum flame detector range in 2013,” comments the company’s Managing Director Mark Osborne.
