CYGNUS launches new wireless everywhere

Cygnus, a leader in EN 54 certified, 100% wireless fire detection and alarm systems, has created a new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of fire alarm installers around wireless technology.

The new informative CPD presentation has been created to meet the evolving needs of installers, offering valuable insights into the growth of wireless technology, how it is being implemented in fire detection and mesh networks.

Stephen Marsh, Head of Sales at Cygnus, comments, “Our new CPD presentation provides an excellent opportunity for professionals to stay ahead in their field, expand their expertise, and gain practical knowledge they can apply immediately to their work. At Cygnus, we understand that continuous learning is crucial in today’s fast-paced world, and our goal is to support professionals in their ongoing career development and allow them to take advantage of the opportunities wireless technology presents.”

When it comes to installing or modifying fire alarm systems there can be numerous issues from tight time constraints to the location and environment of installation. Wireless technology can solve many of these issues and this presentation will take a look back at the development of wireless fire detection and alarm systems and where they are now along with providing an understanding of mesh networks and the solutions they offer installers.

Cygnus is an independently owned developer and manufacturer of life-saving fire protection equipment, specialising in wireless fire alarm technology. The company began with its original Cygnus radio evacuation systems for construction sites, which became renowned for their range, reliability and performance.

The EN 54 certified, 100% wireless fire detection and alarm system, SmartNet, offers a reliable, robust and adaptable solution that is up to twenty times faster to install than wired systems. Due to it being 100% wireless, there is no need for gateways, expanders or loop-powered translating devices and features patented self-forming and self-healing wireless mesh technology. From the scalable SmartNet-Pro, ranging from a panel capability of 511 devices and up to 96 zones, with the ability to network up to 5 panels providing a combined solution of over 2500 devices; to the versatile SmartNet-100, enabling systems with up to 100 devices from one control panel, with the ability to network up to 5 panels via a software release code, Cygnus ensures a fire detection and alarm system to meet diverse project requirements.

Combined with technical and customer support, Cygnus is spearheading the increased deployment of wireless fire alarm technology by delivering viable, user-friendly wireless options for every hard-wired application.
