Winners of the International Fire Buyer Magazine Awards announced

International Fire Buyer, the global leading fire industry media platform, is delighted to announce the winners of their first internationally recognised awards ceremony to be hosted at FDIC – the international event held annually in Indianapolis, USA.
The title-holders were selected from a panel of expert judges, including FDIC Education Director Bobby Halton, London Fire Brigade’s first female commissioner Dany Cotton, Chris Addiers, head of the Federation of European Firefighters based in Belgium, and International Fire Buyer’s very own technical editor, Mark Fletcher.
First place for International Achievement of the Year went to John Burton Miller of Mutual Aid International; Innovation of the Year to Intellimon; Fire Department of the Year to New Brighton Fire Department and Newcomer of the Year to Wolfgang Kleff.
The event will be held on the evening of April 27 at the Indy 500 Ballroom at FDIC in Indianapolis and will be preceded by an international networking reception attended by key international figures and leading industry experts.
Hand Media, the publishing group behind the International Fire Buyer media platform, organised the ceremony through close collaboration with PennWell, the owners of FDIC, resulting in the event gaining an even wider influence.

David Rossiter, Managing Director and Publisher at Hand Media, said: “The International Fire Buyer Awards is the first of its kind to recognise the exceptional skills and abilities that exist within the wider global industry and community. It’s staggering to have witnessed over the course of our submission collections for the awards, the number of dedicated individuals who continue to exceed the call of duty… it’s a pleasure to be able to recognise those who have made a lasting impact on firefighting around the globe.”
Eric Schlett, FDIC International Executive Director, said: “FDIC International is pleased to partner with International Fire Buyer. The International Networking Reception has grown exponentially since its inception just a few years ago, which parallels the increasing number of international firefighters and exhibitors traveling to Indianapolis every year. I also urge all international attendees to stop by the International Lounge, located in Room 111/112 of the Indiana Convention Centre, to take advantage of all the services available to our international guests, including local information and translation services.”
