TLX Fire & Security is a pioneer in the design and production of actuation solutions and integrated technologies for the global fire suppression market. We offer a range of products for fire suppression systems that can be customized to your specifications, and our engineering expertise helps you achieve UL, FM, CE, LPCB, and VdS certifications and listings.

Our patented linear electric actuators are UL 864 Recognized Components and come in three sizes to accommodate the operating pressure of any fire suppression system up to 300 bar. These actuators feature integrated supervision, ultra-fast response, and are resettable after firing. The interface on these actuators can be customized to fit any linear actuated system: mounting thread, connector type (male or female), firing pin stick out, and firing pin geometry can all be configured to your specifications.

Because many fire suppression systems rely on multiple cylinders, we also offer pneumatic actuators that work seamlessly with any of our linear electric actuators. When the electric actuator fires, the pneumatic actuator is actuated, releasing the extinguishing agent stored in its corresponding cylinder.

In addition to electric and pneumatic actuators, we offer manual actuation options, which attach to the top of our linear electric actuators, enabling manual activation of systems. Manual reset tools are also available to allow for resetting any of our actuators after firing.

Continuous Weight Monitoring Solutions

To complement our actuation solutions, TLX also offers a range of continuous weight monitoring solutions that provide real-time monitoring of the extinguishing agent in your cylinders.

Our Liquid Level Sensor is a direct replacement for legacy methods of determining the amount of extinguishing agent in welded cylinders, such as the dip tape level indicator. The Liquid Level Sensor is installed in the cylinder before filling and automatically provides the thermally compensated weight of the extinguishing agent. The weight can be displayed directly at the cylinder or accessed according to your specifications.

Our Suspended Weight-Monitoring System and Platform Weight-Monitoring System monitor cylinder weight in real time and are accurate within 100 grams. If the weight falls below a designated threshold, an alarm can be sent directly to the fire control panel. Up to 20 weighing units can be connected in series and individually addressed to one central weight control panel, which can display individual cylinder weights and alarm conditions.

Custom Solutions for Unique Challenges

If you have a unique challenge and need a custom solution, TLX Fire & Security will work closely with you to develop and produce an innovative product tailored to your application. From initial conversations through production, our team offers personal attention to your project, with direct access to technical and engineering resources. Our headquarters and design center are located in the United States, with localized production available in both the United States and China.
