Kentec strengthens product lifecycle team

Kentec Electronics has appointed Gaurav Arora as General Manager, Product Management and Technical Support to strengthen service, support and training.

Managing end-to-end product lifecycles across the Kentec portfolio, Gaurav will lead market-driven product development and will be responsible for the product roadmap. He will direct technical support, customer training and support escalation to turn insights gained in the field into product improvements, added features and new product ideas.

With 20 years’ experience in the fire and security sectors, Gaurav spent a decade leading commercial and domestic fire detection initiatives involving wireless fire detection and the IoT. He has 15 years of product management experience covering portfolio strategy, partner enablement and post-market support, as well as five years in customer-facing sales and business development roles.

The appointment comes on the back of a wealth of recent announcements, including a new strategic leadership team at Hochiki Corporation’s International Business Division, led by Kentec Managing Director, Kevin Swann, as well as the appointment of Frank Tan to lead business development in Asia Pacific.

Kevin Mears, Global Product Manager (EN) and part of Kevin Swann’s global strategy team that aligns Hochiki’s product and technology strategies with global market demands, said: “Gaurav brings deep knowledge of product development, support and training and will be invaluable in building on the customer satisfaction that Kentec is already known for.”

Gaurav added: “I have always collaborated closely with technical teams and am excited by the close fit at Kentec between technical support and product management – which enhances quality, speeds product improvements and ensures customer needs are reflected in both a well-defined roadmap and support readiness.”

“I also look forward to working alongside a team of talented professionals whose combined experience in the fire industry exceeds a century.”

Kentec Electronics manufactures conventional, analogue addressable fire detection and extinguishant control panels. Founded in 1985, it is an end-to-end fire panel manufacturer, all of which are designed and manufactured in the UK. The company employs approximately 250 employees in its Head Office, Production and R&D facilities.
