Cobra wins Innovation Award for EV Battery Fire Suppression Method

The Cobra Response Methodology for EV Battery Fires has been recognised at the 1st DIREKTION Awards for Innovation in Disaster Resilience, held during the CERIS Disaster Resilience Days in Athens, Greece, last week.

The company’s Fire Protection Engineer, Lena Ulwemann, attended the event to accept the award.
The DIREKTION Awards highlight innovative solutions that strengthen disaster resilience and address real capability gaps for first responders. Following a Europe-wide call and an in-depth evaluation by responder experts, selected projects were acknowledged for their contributions to improving disaster response and resilience.

This recognition reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to safer, cleaner, and more efficient firefighting, and its dedication to developing effective response methods for emerging risks such as electric vehicle battery fires.

Cobra thanked the organisers and jury for the award, and congratulated to all the other winners whose work makes a difference for emergency responders across Europe.
