C-TEC is a leading UK manufacturer of world-class conventional and addressable fire detection and alarm system solutions for commercial and residential buildings. Established in 1981 and currently trading in over 70 countries, the company’s own CAST protocol-powered system solutions are designed to facilitate fast installation, servicing, maintenance and operation and include:

ZFP-CAST – a super-advanced touchscreen-controlled 1-8 loop fire alarm system. Certified to EN54-2, 4 and 13, they can be configured to suit any application ranging from a small ‘one out, all out’ system to a large multi-loop 64 node networked system with sophisticated cause and effects. Fully compatible with CAST-PRO, C-TEC’s powerful range of combined devices featuring heat, smoke and CO fire detection plus a tone or voice sounder and a VAD in just one device.

HUSH-PRO – a fully monitored BS 5839-6 Grade C domestic fire alarm system which provides high levels of fire protection but also minimises the costly and massively disruptive false alarms commonplace in high-rises, student accommodation and other residential dwellings. When used to its full potential, Hush-Pro can report fires, faults and other system data outside dwellings for action and analysis and provide the fire & rescue service with manual evacuation controls.

EVAC-ALERT – a BS 8629:2019+A1:2023 compliant evacuation alert system specifically designed to assist the fire and rescue services in evacuating high-rise residential buildings in fire emergencies. Comprising a range of evacuation alert panels, single and multi-way flat interface units, self-testing evacuation alert sounders and Equality Act-compliant visual indicators and vibrating pillow pads, EVAC-ALERT facilitates the safe and orderly evacuation of buildings containing flats.

ENVISION – a Cloud-based Fire IoT remote access, service and site management software package that is available on all CAST-powered systems and allows all kinds of reports on system activity to be generated, flagged on smart phones or desktops on or off site. It can also assist with system testing and commissioning too. With its interactive site plans and user-friendly App, it not only makes things easier for installers, end users, duty holders and site managers, it provides evidence that work been actioned diligently via a verifiable audit trail.

All the above systems have a 5-year warranty. C-TEC’s commitment to quality is underlined by its ISO 9001 accreditation and its multiple third-party product and factory-process approvals from the likes of the LPCB, BSI, VDS and Kiwa. The company’s Environmental Management System has also attained ISO 14001 accreditation in recognition of its ongoing mission to minimise the environmental impact of its products, activities and services.
