Blending our hardware and peripherals with software that is highly configurable and robust is the way forward. The police and emergency services all require carefully tailored solutions that offer the highest levels of mobility and security. Our agreement with Becrypt will strengthen our portfolio with tried and tested encryption capabilities that add real value to these field operations.” Most recently, Becrypt expanded its presence in the USA marketplace by signing up SYNNEX as a distributor in the region. Dr Bernard Parsons, CEO at Becrypt, said: “As tablet adoption continues to grow in tough, mobile and increasingly security-conscious industry sectors, we are delighted to bring this joint offering with Motion to market through the channel. Strong performer for Zone 0 signalling

E2S launches high-performance intrinsically safe alarm horn sounders E2S has launched high-performance, intrinsically safe alarm horn sounders and combination devices with aluminium enclosures. The IS-D105 sounder and IS-DL105 combination device are approved to IECEx and ATEX standards for Zone 0 and the IP66 sealed marine grade aluminium enclosure is phosphated and powder coated, offering enhanced protection for on and offshore applications. The powerful alarm horn produces up to 105 dB(A) at 1 metre with a choice of 49 alarm tones and 2 additional, remotely selectable, alarm stages. For specific applications, custom tone configurations and frequencies can be engineered. The sounder can be combined with an LED beacon featuring an array of 6 high-intensity LEDs. The alarm sounder and LED beacon can be powered through a single Zener barrier or galvanic isolator. Alternatively, the audible and visual elements of the IS-DL105 combination model can be controlled individually. When cabled with a common power supply, the sounder features an alarm accept function. By closing a pair of external contacts such as a push switch, the operator may silence the alarm for set periods between 5 seconds and 2 hours. The LED beacon continues to flash at twice its normal frequency providing indication of an ongoing alarm condition. If after the pre-set time the alarm condition still exists the alarm horn will activate again. For full datasheets, installation manuals, approval certificates, PDF and CAD drawings and product images, visit www.e2s.com. E2S specialises in designing and manufacturing audible and visual signalling devices and call points for hazardous areas, industrial applications and marine environments.

Permalevel™ Multiplex gives users the ability to monitor up to 700 cylinder points 365 days a year 24 hours a day. Users can be safe in the knowledge that if they do suffer from accidental discharge or seepage then Permalevel™ Multiplex will pick up on it. By giving users the ability to check their fixed fire suppression system in real time it helps cut maintenance costs and maintenance time scales. As a system it understands that it’s primarily the high end users who are going to be able to justify the cost of a system such as this. If Coltraco can better educate the industry to the idea that testing your system once a year isn’t adequate then they will be helping to make business run more smoothly and safer. www.coltraco.com
