A+A 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for safety, security and health at work, closed in Düsseldorf with record participation and strong momentum for the global occupational safety sector.
Over four days, 2,340 exhibitors from 70 countries presented innovations across 13 halls, attracting 67,000 trade visitors from 150 nations. Under the show theme ‘People Matter’, the event reinforced its reputation as the most important international platform for workplace safety, health and security.
The trade fair recorded high visitor quality and strong international presence. Around 81% of attendees were decision-makers from industry, crafts, administration and services, using A+A to network, explore investments and establish new business partnerships. International visitors accounted for 52% of the total, with 16% coming from overseas markets.
Marius Berlemann, Chief Operating Officer of Messe Düsseldorf, said: “A+A has again impressively confirmed its role as the global meeting point for safety and health at work and as an important economic driver for the industry. Here investment is made, partnerships are forged, and innovations become visible that set standards worldwide.”
Stefan Brück, CEO of the uvex group and Chairman of the A+A Advisory Board, added: “A+A exerts enormous influence emanating from Düsseldorf. It connects people, markets and innovations, in Europe and worldwide. As the world’s leading business platform, it provides decisive impetus for safe and healthy work.”
Visitor satisfaction remained very high, with 97% confirming their expectations were met or exceeded. A+A 2025 mapped the global market for personal protective equipment (PPE) comprehensively, while also presenting new trends in sustainable materials, mental health, digital safety systems, ergonomics, artificial intelligence (AI) and New Work.
The EXO PARK demonstrated exoskeletons and digital ergonomics in action, while leading workwear brands highlighted sustainable, functional and stylish protective clothing. The Start-up Zone and the Start-up Area of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) showcased young companies introducing AI-driven safety analytics, sensor-based protection systems and sustainable PPE solutions.
The 39th A+A Congress welcomed 3,000 participants and 330 speakers across 100 sessions. Dr Christian Felten, Managing Director of Basi, concluded: “The A+A Congress 2025 has made it clear: prevention is more than theory – it is experienceable and forward-looking.”
Alongside the congress, live fire protection and rescue demonstrations, the Trend Forum on AI and mental health, and the Corporate Fashion Show in Hall 15 offered practical insight and inspiration. The next A+A will take place in Düsseldorf from 19 to 22 October 2027.
