Ranger Fire and Security Expands in Ireland with PDSL Acquisition

Ranger Fire and Security has expanded its Irish operations with the acquisition of Limerick based Prestige Detection Systems, its twelfth acquisition overall and fourth in Ireland.

Established in 2005, Prestige Detection Systems provides active fire, security and emergency response systems nationwide, with particular strength in Munster and Galway. The company has built a long-standing reputation for technical expertise and high compliance standards across a diverse customer base.

PDSL’s Managing Director, Dave Enright, who has more than thirty five years of industry experience, will remain in post alongside the existing leadership team.

“We’re excited to join the Ranger Group and look forward to working alongside some of the most respected businesses in the industry,” he said. “This partnership will allow us to continue delivering the same high quality, customer focused service that our clients expect, while gaining access to wider expertise, resources and cross selling opportunities that Ranger offers.”

Ranger says the acquisition strengthens its presence on Ireland’s west coast, expands service coverage and introduces complementary active fire and electronic security capabilities. It also brings established relationships with multinational clients and is expected to create operational efficiencies through closer collaboration between Ranger businesses.

Mark Bridges, CEO of Ranger Fire and Security, added: “The addition of PDSL to Ranger marks another key milestone in our expansion across Ireland. Dave and his team bring exceptional experience, technical skill and a well earned reputation for excellence that will help us further enhance Ranger’s services. Their focus on compliance, customer service and quality aligns perfectly with our mission to be the one stop provider for fire and security services across the UK and Ireland.”

Backed by Hyperion Equity Partners, Ranger continues to pursue a strategy of targeted acquisitions and investment in technology and talent to build a market leading fire and security service network.
