Anderson Engineering Launches Ladder Range

With an award winning reputation for precision engineering…

With an award winning reputation for precision engineering, Anderson Engineering, is delighted to announce the launch of a new range of ladder systems, styled on the original Irish Lacon design and now available in the UK and international Fire, Blue Light and Defence markets, the range includes: Rivet and Truss Ladders, Roof Ladders and Short Triple Extension Ladders, the latter two being made by a solid style and swaged round construction.

Graham Anderson, Managing Director of Anderson Engineering explains the decision to launch a new range of ladders: “Due to industry changes we felt the quality of industrial ladder manufacturing in this county had fallen short of expectations. We saw an opening and decided to improve on the Irish Lacon design, a market standard system tried and tested for thirty-five years by fire fighters the world over, and capable of being used on any gantry system in the UK and most European models. At the same time we believed we could improve the materials and workmanship of ladders.”

It’s a decision that’s already paying off, with sales increasing in the UK and an overall rise in demand from overseas markets including Singapore, France and Italy. Anderson’s move into the ladder market place not only means they are able to respond quickly and efficiently to the increase in orders, but they are able to supply the parts and also repair other leading ladder manufactured brands on the market.

“I believe good engineers don’t find problems, good engineers find solutions and our range of ladders are no exception. We took a market standard design, which hasn’t changed in thirty years and made it better by improving it’s work life expectancy, its compatibility with other gantry systems and applications and finally by offering a more competitive price point than the market leaders.”

Like all Anderson products, the new range of ladders have been designed, developed and manufactured by this family run team of engineers, who have grown the business by working closely with brigades and vehicle builders. “Being able to respond to market needs with imagination and engineering acumen,” concludes Anderson, “has allowed us to create a range of products that answers industry needs.”
