Who’s Who – MCD

MCD is a world leading manufacturer of aluminium roller shutters for fire fighting vehicles. The very smooth operation of the doors, effortless for users, and the quality of the components used in production seduced most of the biggest vehicle builders around the world to equip their vehicles.

Located in Le Puy St Bonnet, near Cholet in France, MCD has been making aluminium roller shutters for dedicated fire and utility vehicles since 1989. A very simple replacement of the conventional openning door for utility vehicles and lorries, the roll-up door attracted first the fire fighters to its low obstruction level, providing safe access and easy handling for material. Furthermore, the opening volume leads to a level of performance and accuracy in a compartmentalised layout which is appropriate for such kind of emergency vehicles.

The offer proposes to fully customise the shutter to client’s needs in dimensions, colours (powder coated or anodised), handles (bar lift handle, double handle, recessed handle), installation methods (in kit or pre-assembled in MCD factory).

A wide range of adds-on to answer any tender is available such as limit switch, LED lighting integrated to the shutter, additional bodywork aluminium profiles, electric locking system. With 32 years of experience, the reliability of the product is proved, and the research done on it makes the product in constant evolution following market needs.

The production requires no more than 2 weeks for any quantities and is sent all over the world directly to the client or through their 16 distributors worldwide.
